doqment PDF Reader - A Modified Version of Mozilla's HTML5 PDF Viewer
doqment PDF Reader is a modified version of the PDF.js viewer used by Firefox, with the addition of a Reader Mode add-on. This Chrome extension allows users to view PDFs in different color themes, making long-time reading more comfortable on the eyes. With both Light and Dark themes available, users can choose the one that suits their preference.
In addition to the color themes, doqment PDF Reader offers other useful features. Users can annotate PDF files, fill out interactive PDF forms, and view document thumbnails or outlines. The program also allows users to present, print, download, and bookmark PDFs. Users have the option to rotate pages, change scrolling preferences, and adjust spreads.
Using doqment PDF Reader is easy. Users can right-click or Ctrl-click a link to a PDF and choose "Open in doqment." They can also open a PDF in Chrome and click the toolbar button to access the extension. Local PDF files can be opened by clicking the toolbar button in a new tab. Right-clicking or Ctrl-clicking the toolbar button provides additional options.
The extension also offers some convenient keyboard shortcuts. Pressing Alt+Q (or ^Q on macOS) opens the current tab in doqment. Pressing Z enables smart zooming of text under the mouse pointer, and pressing F3 toggles the main toolbar.
It's worth noting that changing the colors of PDFs may slightly slow down the rendering in Reader Mode. Users are encouraged to report any issues or feedback directly to the support tab, by email, or on the GitHub page. The doqment PDF Reader is fully open-source and does not collect any user data.
Give doqment PDF Reader a try for a more customizable and comfortable PDF reading experience on Chrome.
